The evening begins with Rob in conversation with Executive Director Molly Carrott Taylor and Curator Tania Sammons, offering insight into the making of Beyond the Plate: Sea and Sky.
Then roll up your sleeves for a hands-on art experience: tear, trade, and transform patterned paper into your own one-of-a-kind collage.
All materials are provided, and no art experience is necessary—just a sense of curiosity. Light snacks and drinks will be served.

Rob Strati is a New York-based artist whose work explores the beauty and fragility of memory through broken porcelain and precise linework.
His Fragmented series transforms heirloom plates into poetic, mixed-media compositions that reimagine loss as possibility. Strati’s art has been exhibited nationally and internationally, with recent shows in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Italy.

Ships of the Sea Maritime Museum is open daily from 10am - 5pm,
just one block west of City Market, ready to welcome you aboard!
The museum features nine galleries, maritime artifacts, and the largest private garden in Savannah’s historic district—free and open to the public during museum hours.
